Armenia has assured that the TRIPP project will pose no threat to Iran. Iran's Ambassador to Armenia

Armenia has assured Iran that the TRIPP project will not create any threat to the country. This was stated during a press conference by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia, Khalil Shirgholami.

"The key issues on the Armenian-Iranian bilateral agenda should include managing the risks arising from this project and eliminating potential challenges. As for the United States and the position of the Americans, it has not even been 20 days since the memorandum was concluded and signed, and during this period we have already witnessed several violations on their part.

Iran's entirely legitimate and reasonable concern regarding the presence of Americans near its borders must receive a clear response and be addressed. The Government of Armenia has assured us that the implementation of this project will not create any challenge or threat to Iran.

I believe that we should establish a mechanism under which the Republic of Armenia will be able to realize and implement the full potential of the regional unblocking process. At the same time, it is essential to manage and provide clear responses to the potential risks associated with the U.S. presence and to any threats directed against Iran," he said.
